Privacy Policy

The EROS Quotient asks you to share information about your inner erotic life. We understand that this is some of the most personal data you could provide. This policy explains clearly what we collect, how we use it, and — critically — what we keep private between partners.

The most important thing
Your individual responses are private from your partner.
Your assessment answers — every Likert-scale response and every open-ended reflection — are yours alone. They are never shared with your partner, never displayed alongside theirs, and never visible to anyone outside of EROS-Q.
The Couples EROS Quotient is built from interpreted domain scores, not raw responses. Your partner sees a derived portrait of where your profiles align and diverge — not your individual answers. The same applies to you: you see their scores and the joint narrative, not their words.
What we collect
Names and email addresses
We collect first names (or initials) and email addresses for both partners when an assessment is purchased or requested. These are used to send your assessment invitation, deliver your reports, and identify your couple in our system. We do not collect last names, phone numbers, addresses, or demographic information unless you choose to provide them.
Assessment responses
Your answers to the 53 Likert-scale items across six domains, and your open-ended reflections, are stored securely in our database. These responses are used exclusively to generate your individual EROS Quotient report and — at the aggregate, anonymized level — to improve the assessment instrument over time.
Report data
The reports generated from your assessment — including scores, zone placement, and AI-generated narrative text — are stored so that you can access them via your report link. These are not deleted when you close the browser.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not see, store, or have access to your credit card or banking details at any point. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.
Usage data
We collect basic technical data — submission timestamps, report generation timestamps, and completion status — to operate the service. We also use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. This data is aggregated and does not include your assessment responses.
How we use your data
To deliver the assessment
Your names and emails are used to send assessment invitation links and deliver your completed reports.
To generate your reports
Your assessment responses are processed by an AI language model (Claude, by Anthropic) to produce the narrative sections of your individual and couples reports. Your responses are sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose, subject to Anthropic's enterprise data handling policies. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.
To improve the instrument
We analyze anonymized, aggregated response patterns — with all identifying information removed — to refine the assessment over time. Individual responses are never included in published analysis.
To follow up with beta participants
If you signed up through our early access program, we will send you a brief three-question survey after your assessment is complete. This is the only follow-up communication we send outside of report delivery.
What we don't do
- —We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
- —We do not share your individual assessment responses with your partner.
- —We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
- —We do not share identifiable information with third parties except as described in this policy (service providers necessary to deliver the product).
- —We do not send marketing emails. You will hear from us only to deliver your reports and, if applicable, the follow-up survey.
Service providers
Running EROS-Q requires a small set of trusted third-party services. Each handles your data only as necessary to deliver their function.
Database hosting. Assessment responses, report data, and account information are stored on Supabase infrastructure in the United States.
Transactional email delivery. Used to send assessment invitations and report delivery emails.
Payment processing and order management. Handles all financial transactions; we do not access your payment details.
AI-assisted report generation. Your assessment responses are sent to Anthropic's API to produce the narrative interpretation in your reports. Anthropic's enterprise API terms prohibit the use of API inputs for model training.
Web hosting and deployment. The EROS-Q application runs on Vercel's infrastructure.
Anonymous site usage analytics. No assessment data is shared with Google Analytics.
Data retention and deletion
Your assessment responses and reports are retained so that you can access your report link over time. We do not currently set an automatic expiration, but we review stored data periodically and remove inactive records.
If you would like your data deleted — including your assessment responses, report data, and any associated email records — contact us at hello@eros-q.com and we will remove it within 14 days. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, request a correction, or ask for it to be deleted. If you are located in the European Union or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR or CCPA respectively.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make a material change — one that affects how we use your assessment responses — we will email you before the change takes effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
